2003 Annual Report based on 2003 Management Action Plan


Summary of report:

All 4 objectives achieved.

    1. Standardized cancer patient management process was tackled in the last 2 meetings for the year (1,3, and 4 guidelines completed from 2002 to 2003)
    2. Cancer registry reporting done - February and August, 2003.
    3. Meetings every 2 months conducted February 24, 2003; April 24, 2003; June 26, 2003; August 21, 2003, October 23, 2003; and December 18, 2003.
    4. Researches on cancer are ongoing for Surgery-Anesthesia, Patho, IM, ENT. Pedia, Derma, Ophtha, and GYN have not reported their cancer researches.

To formulate integrated, coordinated, and comprehensive hospital-wide policies on the management of patients with cancer in the hospital.

1.       Unified concept on cancer cause, prevention, cure, and palliation

2.       Standardized cancer patient management process

3.       Cancer palliation program

4.       Cancer pain control program

To conduct educational and training programs for concerned staff so as to facilitate implementation of hospital policies on management of cancer patients.
